Megan L. McCann, Partner

Megan L. McCann, a native of Cimarron, Kansas, has been practicing law in Dodge City, Kansas since 2010. She focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Family Business/Small Business Succession Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Real Estate Transactions, Medicaid, and related matters.
Ms. McCann received her Bachelor of Accounting Degree from Kansas State University in 2006 and her Jurisprudence Degree from Washburn University School of Law in 2008. While at Washburn, she was active as a Law Student Ambassador and a member of the Family Law Quarterly.
Ms. McCann is a member of the Ford-Gray County, Southwest Kansas and Kansas Bar Associations as well as the Oklahoma Bar Association. She is also a member of Wealth Counsel, a national association of estate planning attorneys, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Ms. McCann is involved in a number of local community and civic activities in addition to being a wife and busy mother of three. She and her family currently reside in Ensign, Kansas.
Ms. McCann is a frequent lecturer on the topic of Wills, Trusts and Estates.

Sarah E. Gunkel, Associate Attorney

Sarah E. Gunkel is a new associate attorney with Davis & McCann, P.A., having joined the firm in January of 2022. Her focuses of practice include Estate Planning, Family Business/Small Business Succession Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Real Estate Transactions, Medicaid and related matters.
Ms. Gunkel is originally from Springfield, Colorado, where she grew up helping with her family’s cattle business. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Colorado College in 2013 and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 2015. She obtained her Jurisprudence Degree from Washburn University School of Law in 2019, with a certificate in Business and Transactional Law.
Ms. Gunkel is a member of the Ford-Gray County, Southwest Kansas and Kansas Bar Associations. She is also a member of Wealth Counsel. She looks forward to becoming involved in the local community, while also continuing to ride horses and travel to local barrel races.

Tamara L. Davis, of Counsel

Ms. Davis received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance Degree in 1985 from Wichita State University. She is a 1990 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she graduated with High Honors. While at the University of Tennessee, Ms. Davis served on the Tennessee Law Review and was selected to the "Order of the Coif."
Ms. Davis is a past officer of the Elder Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association and the Board of Editors of the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association. She was appointed to the Kansas Continuing Legal Education Commission by the Kansas Supreme Court in 2004, and the Kansas Board of Law Examiners in 2009.
She is a member of the Ford-Gray County, Southwest Kansas and Kansas Bar Associations. She is also a member of Wealth Counsel.
